DAMAGE: $5,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find light smoke coming from a home’s detached garage. The homeowner was spraying water from a garden hose and said his barbeque grill was too close to the wall of the garage and caught it on fire. Crews fully extinguished and contained the fire to the corner of the garage. Firefighters from Stations 43 and 32 responded to this incident.
