Suspect Charged, Wanted in June Shooting at 4 Rittenhouse Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 4 Rittenhouse Street about 2:20 a.m. on June 26.
The suspect, Eduardo Antonio Lopez, 26, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A photo of Lopez is attached to this news release.
The victim, Jacob Allen Ramirez, 31, was transported to an area hospital and underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to the chest.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives C. Johnson and Z. Brumley reported:
Mr. Ramirez was attempting to enter a small parking lot at the above address as a suspect was attempting to drive out of the parking lot.  The two men got into a verbal altercation and Ramirez exited his vehicle and approached the suspect.  At that time, the suspect pulled a gun and fired several shots at Ramirez, striking him one time.  The suspect fled the scene.  Paramedics transported Ramirez to a hospital.
Further investigation led to the identity of the suspect as Lopez and he was subsequently charged and wanted at this time.
