Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 7700 Memorial Drive about 4:35 p.m. on Saturday (May 27).
The identity, gender and cause of death of the individual are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Martinez and S. Chettry reported:
Officers responded to a report of skeletal remains found by a passerby in an insolated area of the park at the above address. HPD homicide detectives and investigators with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed the skeletal remains were human.
The investigation is pending results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
