Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2802 Holmes Road, Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2802 Holmes Road about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday (May 4).
The identity of the deceased male, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Wu and Officer X. Zhang reported:
Officers were called to a construction site at the above address and advised that a crash had occurred.
A preliminary investigation indicates the male was driving a cement truck and backed up toward an unoccupied parked pumper truck. The male parked the cement truck and got onto its back bumper to pump concrete. At that time, the cement truck went into reverse and pinned the male between the two trucks.
Paramedics were called and transported the male to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. HPD’s Truck Enforcement Unit was contacted and responded to the scene. The investigation is continuing.
