Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4800 Katy Freeway, Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4800 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 9 p.m. last Friday (May 3).
The identity of the deceased female, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer C. Moralez reported:
The female was driving a gray Nissan Juke westbound on the freeway at the above address when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of her vehicle and hit the concrete median at a high rate of speed. The driver and a male passenger, 4, were transported to an area hospital where the woman (driver) was pronounced deceased and the passenger was reported in stable condition with apparent minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
