Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6600 Synott Drive about 9:35 p.m. on Monday (April 22).
The identities of the deceased males, 42 and 47, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson reported:
A white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, driven by the 42-year-old male, and a white Nissan Altima, driven by the 47-year-old male, were traveling northbound near the above address when the Dodge failed to stay in a single lane and struck the rear of the Nissan. The Nissan left the roadway and struck a pole. The Dodge continued northbound into the southbound lanes of Synott and struck a gray Chevrolet Malibu, head-on.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the drivers of the Dodge and the Chevrolet deceased.
The female driver, 66, of the Nissan was transported to an area hospital in with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
