2nd UPDATE: Additional Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 215 Sunnyside Street

Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 215 Sunnyside Street about 9:10 p.m. on January 5.
The suspect, Jesus Garcia, 28, is charged with capital murder in the 230th State District Court.
Another suspect, Enrique Amador Garcia, 34, was previously arrested and is charged with capital murder in the same court.  Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
Both are accused in the death of Carlos Govea Resendiz, 40.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Chettry and H. Martinez reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and located the victim in the roadway.  He had suffered more than one gunshot wound.  Paramedics pronounced the man, later identified as Mr. Govea Resendiz, deceased at the scene.
At that time, there were no known witnesses, suspects or motive in the shooting.
Further investigation identified Garcia as the suspect in this case and charges were filed against him.  On Wednesday (March 27), Garcia was arrested without incident by officers from the HPD North Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Subsequent investigation identified Jesus Garcia as a suspect in this case and charges were filed against him last Friday (March 29).  Garcia is currently in the Harris County Jail on an unrelated charge.
