UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 8627 Glenvista Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of four other persons at 8627 Glenvista Street about 3 a.m. on December 24, 2023.
The suspect, Keshawn Williams, 19, is charged with murder and four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 339th State District Court.
A prior booking photo of Williams is attached to this news release, as he remains hospitalized at this time.
The deceased victim is identified as Isaiah Parker, 20.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:
Witnesses stated that Mr. Parker and a group of males were involved in an exchange of gunfire with another group of males in the parking lot of an after-hours club at the above address.  Parker suffered an apparent gunshot wound and collapsed nearby, in the middle of the Gulf Freeway service road.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Detectives learned four other adults – one female, 19, and three males, 19, 18 and 17 – were transported to area hospitals in private vehicles.  Each had suffered a gunshot wound(s) in this incident.
It was unknown what started the altercation or if the injured individuals were intended targets.
Further investigation identified Williams as the suspect who fired the shots.  He was arrested on Tuesday (April 9) after exchanging gunfire with HPD officers from the HPD Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team, as they executed unrelated felony warrants.  On Wednesday (April 10), Williams was charged in the Glenvista Street fatal shooting incident.
