Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 11700 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 9:55 p.m. on Saturday (May 4).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer Z. Alikhan reported:
The male was operating a red Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle northbound near the above address when a white Jeep Renegade, also traveling northbound, changed lanes. The motorcycle struck the rear of the Jeep, and the male was ejected from the motorcycle.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The male driver, 25, of the Jeep, who remained at the scene, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
