WHAT: Residential garage fire.
WHEN: May 4, 2024, at 10:27 p.m.
WHERE: 300 block of Covecrest Dr. 77336.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 1-story detached garage with a living space on fire. They controlled the fire and cooled down the hot spots unit the fire was completely extinguished. There was no extension to the nearby exposures. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 28 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 64, 102, 104, 101, 65, 30 and The Atascocita Fire Department.
