Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8600 South Freeway, Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 8600 South Freeway (State Highway 288) service road about 6:10 a.m. today (Jan. 4).The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer R. Saenz reported:The victim, a pedestrian, was walking in the roadway at the above address when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling northbound. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
