UPDATE: Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting at 7250 Bellfort Avenue, Houston police have learned the identity of a man found fatally shot at 7250 Bellfort Avenue about 4:15 a.m. on April 18.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has identified the victim as Jimmy Allan Goree, 38.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a call of a deceased person at the above address and found a man unresponsive on the ground near a walking trail. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the man, later identified as Mr. Goree, deceased at the scene.
According to witnesses, a vehicle described only as a red, four-door Ford Probe was seen leaving the scene in an unknown direction.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
