WHAT: Strip Mall Fire

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $880 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $70 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under Investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from the center of a strip mall. A worker gave crews access and they made an attack on the fire and checked for extension with no one found. The business was ventilated and the fire extinguished. CenterPoint was on scene and removed the meter to the unit. The nearby unit owners were advised that they could not reopen until cleared by a food inspector which was requested by HFD. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 76, 10, 73, 75, 51, 68, 57 and 83 responded to this incident.
