WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: July 28, 2022 at 12:43 a.m.
WHERE: 16700 block of Truxton, 77396.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a house fully involved on fire. They made a defensive attack and notified the utility company due to power lines being burned. A primary and secondary search were completed with no one found and the fire was extinguished. The house was reported to be abandoned after being flooded during Hurricane Harvey. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 65, 63 and 74 responded to this incident.
