Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and the wounding of three men at 3403 Love Street about 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday (March 27).
The identity of the female victim, 28, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The three males, all in their 30s, were transported to area hospitals.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Barton and A. Ledford reported:
Officers responded to multiple 911 calls regarding gunshots heard outside the above address. The officers arrived and found a female unresponsive in the street. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
Witnesses told officers a large fight in the street among people who knew each other preceded the shooting. It was learned three males were also shot during the fight and were taken to area hospitals.
The investigation is ongoing to determine which of the males was a shooter(s).
